Business Communication Manager

Announcements can be loaded to the Business Communications Manager (BCM) Call Pilot using two methods.

Announcements can be loaded via a touchtone telephone using the Audio Transfer Isolator and by following the instructions provided on this disc by clicking the following link: Norstar Voicemail.

Announcement files can also be imported and assigned using the BCM control terminal as follows: (available on Business Communications Manager 2.5 only)

1. Create a folder on your hard drive (C:\) entitled Prompts and transfer the files sent to you to this folder.

2. Click the Voice link.

3. If you know the location of the greeting or prompt, in the Import box type the location of the file (eg. C:\Prompts\Announcement1) and click the Send button or if you do not know the location of the greeting or prompt, at the Import option click the Browse button and follow steps 4 to 7.

The Open dialog box appears.

4. From the Look in list, select the location of the file. (eg.C:\Prompts)

5. In the File name box, type the file name.

6. From the Files of type list, select the file type.

7. Click the Open button.

8. To play the greeting or prompt, in the Connect to box type an extension or telephone number and click the Play button.

Your telephone rings.

9. Answer the phone to listen to the greeting or prompt.

10. Click the Save button to save the greeting or prompt. The greeting or prompt you save replaces the original prompt or greeting.

11. Click the Close button and replace the telephone handset.
